Services Providers will be able to access information to assist them in accomplishing the following objectives:
- How to access resources and special programs to aid individuals with developmental disabilities in using public transportation
- How to best disseminate information to their consumers, assist them in accessing resources, and recruit consumers to participate in travel training and public transportation orientation programs
- What public transportation systems are available in the consumers’ communities and how to establish relationships with core personnel to set up appropriate trainings and develop natural supports for individuals with developmental disabilities using their services
- How to develop and conduct individualized, comprehensive travel training for their consumers
- Safety procedures to be used in emergency situations
- Consumer rights and responsibilities
