Metro logoFree ride and bus/rail orientation program

  • All MetroAccess customers with a valid MetroAccess ID card (and one companion) are able to ride Metrobus, Metrorail and Montgomery County Ride-On for FREE? To register, call 301-562-5370.
  • Metro offers free orientations to teach people with disabilities how to use bus and rail, along with trip planning assistance, which highlights accessibility and safety features?

To arrange for a FREE Metro system orientation or for more information, please contact the Metro Office of ADA Programs at 202-962-1558 or 202-962-2033 (TTY).

Metro Disabled ID Card Application

SmarTrip cardThe Metro Disabled ID card is free. Applications are available from the Office of ADA Programs at 600 Fifth Street, NW, Washington, D.C. 20001 or by calling 202/962-1558, TTY 202/962-2033 and requesting an application be mailed to you. ID cards are issued at Metro headquarters or at designated regional locations by appointment only. Please call for more information.
